[16:45]<Tux2> Okay, this is bad... I ordered 2 items from 2 different vendors on Amazon.com at the same time. Both were shipped the same day. One was from China, the other in Salt Lake City, UT, just around 200 miles away from me. The one from China has already gotten into the states and shipped out from California. The one just 1 state over has gone THROUGH my state, down to Colorado, and hasn't even been transferred to USPS... I think both of them
[16:45]<Tux2> are going to arrive around the same day...
[16:46]<+Mulreay> First world problems are aweful
[16:47]<Tux2> lol, right? It doesn't bother me, just kind of makes one think...
[16:47]<@BC_Programming> I hate that expression
[16:48]<Tux2> Here's the tracking on both packages: https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/WTRK/index.html?action=track&tracknumbers=61292700071527892984&locale=en_US&cntry_code=us
[16:48]<Tux2> https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction.action?tRef=fullpage&tLc=1&text28777=&tLabels=9114901230801558427028
[16:48]<Tux2> whoops, ignore that last one: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction.action?tRef=fullpage&tLc=1&text28777=&tLabels=LN421455374CN+
[16:48]<Tux2> the middle one was the package I sent...
[16:49]<+Mulreay> Me too, as in we should judge a problem by where we live. Not getting my stuff is not a 'first world' problem it's my personal problem. If you can't get safe drinking water then speak to your government don't blame me that my ipod broke.
[16:50]<+Mulreay> I just said it as a joke
[16:51]<@BC_Programming> I blame Luke Skywalker
[16:51]<Tux2> lol
[16:51]<+Mulreay> He has Dad issues
[16:52]<Tux2> I just thought it was quite ironic that the package that had to come from China might get here before or on the same day the package just 200 miles away does...
[16:52]<@BC_Programming> "we ship thing for you, it come fastly to your place of living!"
[16:52]<+Mulreay> How is that ironic?
[16:52]<Tux2> Okay, better word: counter intuitive
[16:53]<@BC_Programming> That's two words stop withj your lies! :P
[16:53] * Tux2 smacks BC_Programming with a freshly caught trout
[16:53]<+Mulreay> I was so going to say 'that's not a word' but thought better of it.. but me making this comment said irt anyway :p
[16:54]<Tux2> lol, semantics, are we talking about those today? Let me go get my grammar book...
[16:56]<+Mulreay> No no you want a dictionary
[16:57]<+Mulreay> Waiting for the come back of how wrong I was
[16:57]<Tux2> Oh, right...
[16:57] * Tux2 runs back to get his dictionary
[16:57]<@BC_Programming> Let me look that up in the thesaurus
[16:58]<@BC_Programming> "Come here, thesaurus, my noble steed"
[16:58]<Tux2> Gah! I only have a synonym finder!
[16:58]<@BC_Programming> "RAWR"
[16:58]<Tux2> Will that work?
[16:58]<+Mulreay> I just looked it up in Scrabble but there was only boob, boobies and haha on there
[16:59]<@BC_Programming> I thought you said Homonym finder. I guess they sound the same
[16:59]<+Mulreay> Ahh the gay detector also known as the 'gaydar'
[17:00]<@BC_Programming> wait what
[17:00]<Tux2> Wait, isn't that homophone?
[17:00]<+Mulreay> Where you call gay people
[17:04]<Tux2> lol, that killed the conversation...
[17:06]<@BC_Programming> hmm it's hard to make a good message describing why the invoice cannot be voided
[17:06]<@BC_Programming> "voided and void invoices cannot be voided" is practically a tongue twister
[17:13]<Tux2> "This invoice is already voided!"
[17:13]<@BC_Programming> No
[17:14]<@BC_Programming> because the invoice might be an invoice that is voiding another invoice
[17:14]<Tux2> Ah...
[17:14]<Tux2> That invoice is already voided
[17:14]<@BC_Programming> A void invoice voids another invoice, and a voided invoice is an invoice voided by a void invoice
[17:15]<Tux2> So, I wanted to get Rio 2 in bluray, there's 3 Redboxes in town yet the closest one with a bluray copy is in the small town of Saratoga 33 miles away!
[17:15]<@BC_Programming> I get the PirateBay edition
[17:15]<Tux2> lol, I guess that's the route I'm going with as I don't want to spend $20 in gas to rent a movie
[17:16]<@BC_Programming> hmm that is another frivolous addition I should add. a Blu-Ray Player
[17:16]<@BC_Programming> I'll never use it ever
[17:16]<Tux2> lol, I've used mine like once... I WAS trying to use it again...
[17:17]<@BC_Programming> I just have a DVD-RW drive like some sort of common peasant
[17:17]<Tux2> lol, I got mine with a Microcenter gift card I got
[17:17]<@BC_Programming> Though it is more of a liability, I have stacks of burned DVDs that in my infinite wisdom I decided "I can label them later" so I have no idea what is on them
[17:18]<Tux2> Ha ha! Sounds like my stack of mystery cds
[17:18]<@BC_Programming> I like the one's labelled "stuff"
[17:21]<jamer> ive got stuff 1 stuff 2 and stuff 3 right here
[17:21]<Tux2> lol
[17:22]<Tux2> Ah, 15 minutes and I'm going to have the bluray version of RIO 2. :D Beats driving for an hour to get it...
[17:24]<jamer> XD
[17:25]<Tux2> The local movie store has a copy I could rent for 3 nights for $5.85, and most of their disks don't even play properly...
[17:26]<@BC_Programming> I need to find another DVI/VGA adapter, then I can connect my old computer to this monitor and use it for... something? I guess
[17:26]<Tux2> lol
[17:27]<@BC_Programming> Just changing inputs is convenient :P
[17:28]<+Mulreay> Well I think it's disgusting getting free movies from the internet.. I have over 1.5tb of research material to atest to
[17:28]<Tux2> lol
[17:28]<+Mulreay> attest*
[17:29]<Tux2> I wanted to do it legally, but having to spend $6 for a 3 night rental doesn't sound to appealing...
[17:29]<Tux2> Either that or drive for an hour...
[17:29]<Tux2> or just get the DVD version...
[17:30]<@BC_Programming> there now I have all the Need for Speed titles on Gamecube
[17:30]<@BC_Programming> only one of which I like
[18:42] * Nat (nat@mib-9777B5D6.lightspeed.irvnca.sbcglobal.net) has joined #glitchpc
[19:30]<Tux2> It's funny how this chat can be dead for days and then explode in a torrent of chat
[19:31]<@BC_Programming> heh, torrent of chat
[19:31]<@BC_Programming> pun
[19:32]<Tux2> lol, unintentional none the less...

[23:55]<@BC_Programming> I connected my old computer to this monitor with VGA
[23:55]<@BC_Programming> then I realized it was pointless
[23:55]<@BC_Programming> mostly because getting the network bridge to work with this computer didn't work. That's why I was DC-ing :P
